The Teneweed Race took place on Saturday 23 November, Starting at Teneweedfe San Isidro. The teams met up at the club to confirm the rules of the game and get a cup of coffee before they got going. Those of you who were paying attention will have noticed that if you have the TeneweedFM APP installed, we received a notification telling us that the Teneweed Race had begun! When that notification was sent, the first clue for the Teneweed Race was published on the News Page. Not everyone who was playing realised this though so people were slow to realise this but then the race was on!
The teams had to find 7 locations, and at each place, there was a QR code AND a Teneweed Race totem to collect. Each location was different, either something directly to do with the TeneweedFM family like Karting Club, or Tenerife gems like the Rastro Market in Guaza and Pino Gordo in Villaflor. We were pleased to see all the teams that took part, making a real effort to get ahead of each other to be the team that won the race.
As with any wacky race, we had a few incidents including a broken down car, that needed rescue and even a missing clue! This all added to the competition and definitely kept emotions charged as the race progressed. The race came to a fitting finish as the two teams that were head ahead made it to the final location together.

To win The Teneweed Race, the team captains had to present 7 totems that spelled out “Teneweed Race 2” to Don Rafa at our barbarque location that was in Cho Pancho. As one captain ran down the ramp towards Don Rafa, the other jumped over barriers to get to him first and snatch the prize at the last minute!

La carrera de Teneweed tuvo lugar el sábado 23 de noviembre, comenzando en Teneweedfe San Isidro. Los equipos se reunieron en el club para confirmar las reglas del juego y tomar una taza de café antes de ponerse en marcha. Aquellos de ustedes que estaban prestando atención habrán notado que si tienen instalada la APLICACIÓN TeneweedFM, ¡recibimos una notificación que nos dice que la Carrera Teneweed había comenzado! Cuando se envió esa notificación, la primera pista para la raza Teneweed se publicó en la página de noticias. Sin embargo, no todos los que jugaban se dieron cuenta de esto, así que la gente tardó en darse cuenta de esto, ¡pero la carrera comenzó!
Los equipos tuvieron que encontrar 7 ubicaciones, y en cada lugar, había un código QR Y un tótem de Teneweed Race para recolectar. Cada ubicación era diferente, ya sea directamente relacionada con la familia TeneweedFM como Karting Club, o con gemas de Tenerife como el Rastro Market en Guaza y Pino Gordo en Villaflor. Nos complació ver a todos los equipos que participaron, haciendo un verdadero esfuerzo para adelantarnos y ser el equipo que ganó la carrera.
Al igual que con cualquier carrera loca, tuvimos algunos incidentes, incluido un automóvil averiado, que necesitaban rescate e incluso una pista faltante. Todo esto se sumó a la competencia y definitivamente mantuvo las emociones cargadas a medida que avanzaba la carrera. La carrera llegó a un final apropiado ya que los dos equipos que estaban por delante llegaron juntos a la ubicación final.
Para ganar The Teneweed Race, los capitanes del equipo tuvieron que presentar 7 tótems que explicaban "Teneweed Race 2" a Don Rafa en nuestra ubicación de barbarca que estaba en Cho Pancho. Mientras un capitán corría por la rampa hacia Don Rafa, el otro saltó las barreras para llegar a él primero y arrebatar el premio en el último minuto.
