Have You Heard that Santa Cruz city council is expanding the free activities of its “Distrito Joven” (“Young District”) to the municipality for the first time this year?
Distrito Joven is a program that offers a range of activities for 14 to 30 year olds in Santa Cruz. They have a variety to choose from as they do excursions on trails, camping in Igueste San Andrés, graffiti workshops, urban art, break-dance, and rap. There are workshops for younger participants where they can learn how to make their own musical instrument with recycled materials and create their own mobile application; and learn drawing techniques and music history. You can also learn skills like sign language and the event organisation.
The official organisers of the Tenerife Carnival are taking part in the program for the first time this year and will be hosting Carnival Make-Up workshops.The age range has been increased for the this year as well, it was up to 21, now it's up to 30.
The workshops have already started, and this years sessions will end on Saturday 28 March 2020. So if you live in the municipality of Santa Cruz - go and take advantage of these fun FREE services.

¿Has oído que el ayuntamiento de Santa Cruz está expandiendo las actividades gratuitas de su "Distrito Joven" al municipio por primera vez este año?
Distrito Joven es un programa que ofrece una variedad de actividades para niños de 14 a 30 años en Santa Cruz. Tienen una variedad para elegir, ya que hacen excursiones por senderos, acampan en Igueste San Andrés, talleres de graffiti, arte urbano, break dance y rap. Hay talleres para los participantes más jóvenes donde pueden aprender a hacer su propio instrumento musical con materiales reciclados y crear su propia aplicación móvil; y aprender técnicas de dibujo e historia musical. También puede aprender habilidades como el lenguaje de señas y la organización del evento.
Los organizadores oficiales del Carnaval de Tenerife participan en el programa por primera vez este año y organizarán talleres de maquillaje de Carnaval.
